To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology - Raheja Infocity-II, Plot No. 2/1/C, Block-D, Trans-Thane Creek Industrial Area, MIDC, Village Bonsari, Kukshet and Shirvane, Opposite Juinagar Railway Station, Taluka - Thane Navi Mumbai - Maharashtra MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 18th January, 2010 S.O. 110(E) - Whereas M/s. K. Raheja Universal Private Limited, a fully private organisation of the State of Maharashtra, had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act ), to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Raheja Infocity-II, Plot No. 2/1/C, Block-D, Trans-Thane Creek Industrial Area, MIDC, Village Bonsari, Kukshet and Shirvane, Opposite Juinagar Railway Station, Taluka - Thane Navi Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 13.07 hectares, comprising of the following survey numbers and area as given below in the table at the above location as Special Economic Zone wide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 1437(E) dated 20th August, 2007:- TABLE Serial No. Name of the Village Survey Number Area (in hectres) (1) (2) (3) (4) 1. Raheja Universal Private Limited has proposed to de-notify the entire area of 13.07 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for de-notification of above area on 25th June, 2009; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
