[PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA, EXTRAORDINARY, PART II, SECTION 3, SUB-SECTION (i)] GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd February, 2009 Subject:- Power to modify Act in relation to electronic records (including the manner and form in which electronic records shall be filed) - Amendments in sections 220, 303 and 554 GSR 70(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses ( a ) and ( b ) of sub-section (1) of section 610C of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby directs that ( i ) in section 220, ( a ) in sub-section (1), in clause ( a ), for the words, three copies at both the places where they occur, the words a copy shall be substituted; ( b ) in the proviso, for the word copies , at both the places where they occur, the word copy shall be substituted; ( c ) in sub-section (2), the words and to the copies thereof shall be omitted. ( ii ) in section 303, in sub-section (2), the words in duplicate at both the places where they occur, shall be omitted. ( iii ) in section 594, ( a ) in sub-section (1), in clause ( b ), for the words three copies the words a copy shall be substituted; ( b ) in sub-section (3), for the words three copies , the words a copy shall be substituted. 2. A copy of this notification having been laid in draft before both Houses of Parliament as required by sub-section (2) of section 610C of the said Act.
