Rescinds the sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES sector at Sanathal (Sarkhej-Bavla Highway) Taluka Sanand, District Ahmedabad, Gujarat; - S.O.301 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th January, 2013 S.O.301 (E). -Whereas, M/s. City Gold Realty Private Limited had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES sector at Sanathal (Sarkhej-Bavla Highway) Taluka Sanand, District Ahmedabad, Gujarat; And Whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 10-51-46 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 70(E), dated 9 th January 2008, , as Special Economic Zone. And, Whereas, M/s. City Gold Realty Private Limited has proposed to denotify the entire area of 10-51-46 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for denotification of above area on 27th December, 2011; Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
