Supersedes Notification No. 132/66-Cus. Notification No. 23/88-Cus. (N.T.), dated. 12-4-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue and Insurance No. 132-Cus., dated 25th June, 1966, the Central Government hereby entrusts to the officers mentioned in column (1) of the Table below, the functions of the officers of Customs specified in the correspon ding entry in column (2) of the said Table, within the territory specified in column (3) thereof : TABLE Designation of Officers Functions under the Customs Act, 1962 Jurisdiction (1) (2) (3) Officers of Police of and above the rank of an Assistant Sub-Inspector, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Functions under sections 100 to 104 (both inclusive), 106, 107 and 110. Throughout their jurisdiction except in Port Blair. Head Constable and Constables, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Functions under sections 100, 102, 106 and 110 Throughout their jurisdiction, except in Port Blair.
