18% duty on catalyst/compounds of metals specified in Chapter 28 or 38 CET Notification No. 34/98-CE Dated 10-11-98 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1994(1) of the (1 of 1944) Central Excise Acts the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do hereby makes the following further amendments to the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 05/98-CE, dated the 2nd June, 1996 namely:- In the said notification in the Table against serial number 36. (i) in column (2) for the figures and word 28,38 or 71 the figures and word 28 or 38 shall be substituted (ii) in column (3), for the brackets, letter words (a) Catalysts, ingots, powder and sponge, brackets letter and words (a) Supported Catalysts shall be substituted.
