SEZ notified at Village Powai, District Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra [PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY, PART-II SECTION-3, SUB-SECTION (ii)] Government of India Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) New Delhi , dated the 13th April, 2007 . NOTIFICATION S. O. 579(E).- Whereas M/s. Hiranandani Builders, Mumbai, a fully Private Organisation of the State of Maharashtra, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereinafter referred to as the Act, to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Village Powai, District Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at the said Powai Village in Mumbai on 19th June, 2006; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the following area at Village Powai, District Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, as a Special Economic Zone, namely: Table Serial Village Survey Area (in Number Number hectares) (1) (2) (3) (4) 1 Powai 22 (P) 0.1765 2 23 (P) 0.1086 3 28 (P) 5.3849 4 29 (P) 4.4071 5 30 (P) 2.5120 Total 12.5891 hectares (F.2/67/2006-EPZ) Anil Mukim, Joint Secretary to the Government of India. ****** Notes 1.
