SEZ notified at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Phase-II, Hinjawadi, Village - Mharunji, Taluka - Mulshi District Pune in the State of Maharashtra [PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY, PART-II SECTION-3, SUB-SECTION (ii)] Government of India Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) New Delhi , dated the 28 December 2006 . NOTIFICATION S.O. 2162(E).- Whereas M/s. Wipro Limited, Pune, a private Organisation of the State of Maharashtra, has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereinafter referred to as the Act, to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Phase-II, MIDC, Hinjawadi, District Pune in the State of Maharashtra; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted a letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for development, operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at the said Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park area on 21st August, 2006; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the following area at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Phase-II, Hinjawadi, Village - Mharunji, Taluka - Mulshi District Pune in the State of Maharashtra, comprising of the plot number and the area given below, as a Special Economic Zone, namely: Plot Number - 31 Total Area - 20 hectares.
