Income-tax (Fifteenth Amendment) Rules, 2005 - Insertion of rules 11MA, 11MAA in Part VI, Form No. 58C and Form No. 58D in Appendix II to Income-tax Rules, 1962 - 164/2005 - Income TaxExtract Income-tax (Fifteenth Amendment) Rules, 2005 - Insertion of rules 11MA, 11MAA in Part VI, Form No. 58C and Form No. 58D in Appendix II to Income-tax Rules, 1962 Notification No. 164/2005 [F. No. 142/44/2004-TPL], dated 17-6-2005 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 295 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962, namely : 1. (1) These rules may be called the Income-tax (Fifteenth Amendment) Rules, 2005. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Income-tax Rules, 1962, ( a ) in Part II, in sub-part F, after rule 11M, the following rules shall be inserted, namely: 11MA. Form of report by an approved association or institution under clause (ii) of sub-section (4) of section 35AC - (1) The report to be furnished by the approved association or institution under clause ( ii ) of sub-section (4) of section 35AC shall be in Form No. 58C. (2) The report referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be furnished to the National Committee before the expiry of three months from the end of the financial year. (3) The National Committee, after receipt of the report referred to in sub-rule (2) may, at any time, undertake to inspect or verify the information furnished by the association or institution. 11MAA. Form of report by public sector company or local authority or association or institution, which is carrying out a notified eligible project or scheme, under clause (ii) of sub-section (5) of section 35AC - (1) The report to be furnished by a public sector company or local authority or an association or institution in respect of the eligible project or scheme, under clause ( ii ) of sub-section (5) of section 35AC shall be in Form No. 58D. (2) The report referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be furnished to the National Committee before the expiry of three months from the end of the financial year. (3) The National Committee, after receipt of the report referred to in sub-rule (2) may, at any time, undertake to inspect or verify the information furnished by the public sector company or local authority or association or institution. ( b ) In Appendix II, after Form No. 58B, the following forms shall be inserted, namely : Form 58C ( See rule 11MA) Report to be submitted under clause (ii) of sub-section (4) of section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 to the National Committee by an approved association or institution Reporting period..............to........... 1.
