Amendments in Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 13.4.1998) and ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002 ( TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART II SECTION 3, SUB-SECTION (ii) ) GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE NOTIFICATION NO. 37(RE-98)/97-02 NEW DELHI : DATED 23rd December, 1998 S.O. (E) - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation ) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraphs 1.3 and 4.1 of Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in Export And Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 13.4.1998) and ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002, published on 31 st March, 1997 and as amended from time to time. 1. In Export and Import Policy, Paragraph 15.1, under Part I of Chapter 15 of Negative List of Imports, Sl.No. 4 shall be substituted as under:- Sl. No Description of items Nature of restriction "4. All kinds of waste, parings and and scrap of plastics Not permitted to be imported except for Export Processing Zones (EPZs)." 2. In ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items in respect of following Exim Code Nos. the columns 3 and 4 shall be amended to read as under:- EXIM Code Item Description Policy Condition relating to the policy Import under SIL/ Public Notice 391510 00 Of polymers of ethylene Prohibited except for EPZs Not permitted to be imported except for EPZs. Import for EPZs shall be permitted in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf. 391520 00 Of polymers of styrene Prohibited except for EPZs Not permitted to be imported except for EPZs. Import for EPZs shall be permitted in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf. 391530 00 Of polymers of vinyl chloride Prohibited except for EPZs Not permitted to be imported except for EPZs. Import for EPZs shall be permitted in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf. 391590 01 Waste and scrap of phenoplast Prohibited except for EPZs Not permitted to be imported except for EPZs. Import for EPZs shall be permitted in accordance with a Public Notice issued in this behalf. 391590 02 Waste and scrap of aminoplast Prohibited except for EPZs Not permitted to be imported except for EPZs.
