Rescinds the NOTIFICATION NO. 18/1996-CE, Dt. 23/7/96 12/1998-CE, Dt. 2/6/98 NOTIFICATION NO. 33/2004-CE DATED 09/07/2004 G.S.R (E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Textiles and Textile Articles) Act, 1978 (40 of 1978), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby rescinds the following notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), namely: - 1. No. 18/1996-Central Excise, dated the 23rd July 1996, published in the Gazette of India vide number G.S.R. 316 (E), dated 23rd July 1996; and 2. No. 12/1998-Central Excise, dated the 2nd June 1998 , published in the Gazette of India vide number G.S.R. 307 (E), dated 2nd June 1998. [F.No. 334/3/2004-TRU]
