Under sub-section (2) of Section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes authorises the Chief Commissioner of Income-tax-XIII, Mumbai to issue orders, in writing, for exercise of powers and performance of functions NOTIFICATION N0. 172 Dated 15th July,2002 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby authorises the Chief Commissioner of Income-tax-XIII, Mumbai to issue orders, in writing, for exercise of powers and performance of functions under the Income-tax Act, 1961, concurrently by all or any of the Assessing Officers as denned under section 2(7A) of the Income-tax Act, subordinate to him. 2.
