WIPRO Limited, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh Notification No : S.O. 991(E), dated 18-6-2007. Whereas M/s. WIPRO Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), hereinafter referred to as the Act, to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at plot Nos. 2, 3 and 4, Knowledge Park-IV (IT Park), Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida in the State of Uttar Pradesh and the Central Government granted a letter of in-principle approval of the said proposal by the Board of Approval on 23rd September, 2005. And whereas the Central Government on being satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of formal approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for development, operation and maintenance of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology/ Information Technology Enabled Services at the said plot Nos. 2, 3 and 4, Knowledge Park- IV (IT Park), Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida in the State of Uttar Pradesh on 9th June, 2006; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the land measuring 20.23 hectares comprising at plot Nos. 2, 3 and 4, Knowledge Park- IV (IT Park), Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida in the State of Uttar Pradesh as Special Economic Zone.
