Monthly Account of the Government of India up to the month of October 2018 for the Financial Year 2018-19

The Monthly Account of the Union Government of India up to the month of October, 2018 has been consolidated and the reports have been published.

The major highlights are given below:-

The Government of India has received ₹ 8,08,010 crore (44.45% of corresponding  BE 18-19 of Total Receipts) upto  October, 2018 comprising ₹ 6,61,113 crore Tax Revenue (Net to Centre),  ₹ 1,27,716 crore of  Non-Tax Revenue and ₹ 19,181 crore of Non-Debt Capital Receipts.   

Non-Debt Capital Receipts consists of Recovery of Loans (Rs.9, 080 crore) and Disinvestment of PSUs (Rs. 10,101 crore).

₹ 3,77,076 crore has been transferred to the State Governments as Devolution of  Share of Taxes by the Government of India up to this period which is ₹ 39,796 crore higher than the corresponding period of last year 2017-18.

Total Expenditure incurred by Government of India is ₹ 14,56,593 crore (59.64% of corresponding BE 18-19), out of which ₹ 12, 79,494 crore is on Revenue Account and ₹ 1,77,099 crore is on Capital Account.  Out of the total Revenue Expenditure, ₹ 2,92,093 crore is on account of Interest Payments and ₹ 2,08,421 crore is on account of Major Subsidies.
