Global crude oil price of Indian Basket increases to US$ 112.50/bbl on 01.02.2013 |

Press Information Bureau Government of India Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas 04-February, 2013 16:22 IST The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went up to US$ 112.50/barrel (bbl) on 01.02.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 112.39/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 31.01.2013. In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5998.50/bbl on 01.02.2013 as compared to Rs 5989.26/bbl on 31.01.2013. This was due to rupee depreciation as rupee dollar-exchange rate on 01.02.2013 at Rs 53.32/US$ against Rs 53.29/US$ on previous trading day of 31.01.2013 The table below gives details in this regard:
