Eligiblity for SSI Exemptiom., Central Excise

Dear All,

There is exemption from payment of Duty up to turnover of ₹ 1.5 Cr. for SSI unit. My question is what are the eligibility to have SSI exemption benefit.

Dear Salil,

You must be registered as SSI Unit. Small Scale and ancillary units (i.e. undertaking with investment in plant and machinery of less than ₹ 10 million) should seek registration with the Director of Industries of the concerned State Government.
