Is there any need to intimate superintendent before doing self sealing at factory Posts / Replies Showing Replies 1 to 3 of 3 Records Page: 1
Dear Sir, Under SRP (Self Removal Procedure) No need to intimate the superintendent for self-sealing. Only the copies of ARE-1 (triplicate and Quadruplicate) will be submitted to Range Office within 24 Hrs. after removal of excisble goods from the factory.
There does not seems to need to give prior intimation in case of export made under self sealing and self certification, as in terms of para 10.1 of Chapter 7 and para 6 of Chapter 8 of CBEC’s Excise Manual of Supplementary Instructions triplicate and quadruplicate copies of A.R.E-1 are to be submitted to the jurisdictional Superintendent within 24 hours of removal of goods. However, as per Board’s Circular No. 426/59/98-CX dated 12.10.1998, prior intimation is required to be given to the Range by the Exporter who wish to remove export container under self sealing and self certification (SRP). This intimation procedure is since outdated and is not even incorporated in the CBEC Manual of Supplementary Inst. 2005. However, it is to be noted that the Circular dated 12.10.1998 has still not been shown to be withdrawn and modified, and hence still in existence.
Dear Ranjit, I am agree with Naveed. In addition it advisable to intimate your range superintendent, and as when coming for supervision under self sealing. please obtain the signature back side of ARE-1 with wording of sample test of 10% export cargo. Page: 1 Old Query - New Comments are closed. |
