Difference between services rendered by chartered accountants and advocates (taxation)

  • Contents
Sir, why service tax exemption for chartered accountants have been withdrawn despite of the fact that advocates (taxation) and tax practitioners are also providing the same services. are the nature of their services different than the common services provided by the chartered accountants? why the law of equality is not followed by our learned finance minister?

I think it is very much difficult for me to say why the exemption which were enjoyed by the chartered accountants has been withdrawn. Only the Finance Minister is the proper and competent authority to reply this question.
