Filing Form LLP 08

  • Contents

Does an LLP registered on 16/03/2016 need to file statement of accounts in form 08 for the FY ended 31/03/2016? There are materially no transactions for the said period.

Yes, you need to file both the returns namely Form 08 and Form 11 respectively. Both the returns need to be filed mandatorily, irrespective of whether the LLP has done business or not or whether it has made profits or not.

Further , an Income Tax return would also be required to be filed, should the LLP be doing NO business too.

The return is required to be filed within 30 days from the end of 6 months from the end of the financial year.
