Dear Experts,

Please let me know whether the new format of annual returns to be filed under central excise by 30.11.2016 is available now. If yes, what is the notification number and date.

Sir,

The new format for Annaul Retrun is yet to be notified. It may be notified around 15.11.2016 so that assessees will find it difficult to file it on time.

The preparation of the annual returns is on line and we will expect in the first week of November, 2016.

We can keep the annual data ready in all possible columnar form , so that if it comes that there will not be much efforts will be required .

in this connection, the Board has decided vide Circular reference # 1050/38/2016-CX dated November 8, 2016 that there is no requirement to file combined annual return of Central Excise & Service Tax for FY 2015-16 in view of upcoming GST legislation. It has also been mentioned in the Circular that annual return of non-GST goods would only be required post implementation of GST subject to due consultation with trade and industry
