E-WAY BILL - BILLED TO & SHIPPED TO |

Respected Experts, Our company is in Pondicherry. We are placing orders through agents in chennai and the materials are coming from Mumbai or Gujarat or Hyderabad. A is the manufacturer B is the agent C is us and user (Company). A has to raise Tax Invoice as Billed to B and Shipped to C. We were informed that at present Two e-way bills to be issued. One is raised by A and for the movement from Mumabi to Chennai and another e-way bill raised by B for the movement from Chennai to Pondicherry. Is right ? Also we were informed both e-way bills to be carried by the transported from Mumbai itself ? But actually, goods will be moved from Mumabi(A) to Pondicherry(C). Suppose if the agent(B) raised e-way bill for movement from Chennai to Pondicherry it will be valid for 2 days only. From Mumbai it will take minimum 7 days to reach consignment to Pondy Posts / Replies Showing Replies 1 to 5 of 5 Records Page: 1
E way bill is to be issued to the destination of bill to the Party(Agent) & your Agent will issue another E way bill for final destination
Dear Sir, Thanks for your reply. Material will not go to the agent's place always. At what stage, Agent have to issue E-way bill ???
Despite the fact that the goods will not be received by the agents, the first bill is issued to agent and then agent issued bill to the user. Therefore two eway bills are to be raised at the destination places.
The law is not framed keeping these scenarios in to consideration. Hence , as per rule which states each invoice should have eway before the movement of goods starts. It is required that e way bill is prepared as per invoice. Two invoice then two e way bill .
