Registration under GST is not mandatory to open bank account. You cannot use third party registration for this purpose. Otherwise also it is not required .
I need obtain GST registration, but I do not have local bank account because, my company is on foreign.
Requirement of bank account details at the time of GST Registration has been done away with since last 15-20 days. This is becase normally a bank account cannot be opened before commencement of business. The same can be added via amendment of non-core field later on. - Hiren Pathak

However it is better to have a bank account after getting registration certificate for paying taxes and getting refund purposes.
