Registration of Service tax for Export Services, Service Tax

We are engaged in IT Enabled services and raise Invoices to US for this services. Now the question is we have to take service tax registration or not .

Yes sir, there is a need for the registration under service tax. For availment of refund in case of export of services registration must be there.

Registration would be necessary depending on whether the threshold limit has been exceeded or not , now the threshold limit is rs 9 lakhs and also whether the service rendered is a taxable service or not. If the answers to these questions are in the affirmative then registration is required
