Missing Bill of Entry

  • Contents

Dear sir

We have remitted import payment in 2008.

We have submmited original Bill of entry, inv, packing list to bank at that time.

At that time, we submitted all original bill of entry by mistake, not remain any bill of entry in our company.

Right now, we need bill of entry to take Cenvat credit.

We contacted bank, beneficiary bank, logistis company(at that time he handled this shipment) to find bill of entry. but anyone doesn't have that xerox copy or original copy.

In this case, how can we find the Bill of entry? through customs or RBI ?

If yes, how can we contact government person ?

There are provisions to get misplaced documents through reconstruction from the Commissioner of Customs on payment of nominal fees.  Please discuss this matter with your CHA and provide him the photocopies of the Bills of Entries which you now intend to reconstruct.  Also lodge a FIR in this regard.
