IS IT COMPULSORY FOR A COMPANY TO TAKE REGISTRATION CERTIFICATION AS PER CIRCULAR NO. 161/12/2012 ST 06/07/2012.( ALL TAXABLE SERVICES OTHER THEN NEGATIVE SERVICES. PL CLERIFY EXACT MEANING OF THIS NOTIFICATION.

If you are an existing registered assessee then there is no need to get it again.

Dear sir,

This Circular No.161/12/2012 -ST  is for Accounting Code for payment of service tax under the Negative List approach to taxation of services, it is not related to registration.

I agree with Mr. Pradeep that If you are an existing registered assessee then there is no need to get it again.

I HAVE DISCUSSED WITH SERVICE TAX AUTHORITY IN THIS REGARD. THEY SAID YOU HAVE TO GO AMENDMENT YOUR REGISTRATION THROUGH ACES SITE AND CLICK IN ALL TAXABLE SERVICE OTHER THEN NEGATIVE LIST.
