Charges were framed against the members of the community and it was in this context the trust had taken the defence. This is to protect the community from losing personal liberty, and therefore it is for the purpose of the trust. Having regard to this, we hold that the assessee is entitled to the benefit of exemption under section 11, if regard to had to the amounts spent on loans, advances, murder case expenses and temple expenses.
