Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Competition Commission of India (Salary Allowances, Other Terms and Conditions of Service of the Secretary and Officers and Other Employees of the Commission and the Number of Such Officers and Other employees) Rules, 2009. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions. - (1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, (a) Act means the Competition Act, 2002; (b) Secretary' means a person appointed as Secretary under sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Act; (2) Words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have th .....
