ERSO involves outsourcing of defective and damaged electronic items to repair service organizations in India, to repair or refurbish or re-calibrate, such defective or damaged electronic items, to bring them back to a perfect working condition. The ERSO pilot project, involving import of goods for repair maintenance and re-export, 1s proposed to be implemented in Bengaluru with an aim to facilitate speedy Customs clearance of goods imported under the ERSO project.
