..... X (SECOND AMENDMENT) BILL, 2023 A BILL further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. IT IS HEREBY enacted in the Seventy-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Short title and commencement 1. (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Act, 2023. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 1st day of October, 2023. On the recommendation of GST Council, certain amendments were made in the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Act no. 12 of 2017) vide the Central Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Act, 2023 (Act no. 30 of 2023), which was enacted by the Parliament and received the assent of the President on 18th August, 2023.
