Automated Out of Charge for AEOs Expedites Customs Clearance, Reducing Dwell Time for Compliant Traders.

The Chennai Customs Zone has introduced Automated Out of Charge (Auto-OOC) for Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) T2 and T3 clients, effective January 1, 2025. This system expedites customs clearance by allowing eligible Bills of Entry to bypass CCR verification if no examination or scanning is needed, assessments are complete, and OTP authentication is done. Auto-OOC is granted on a risk basis, although manual overrides are possible for intelligence purposes.
