The circular addresses the uploading of KYC information by KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs) to the Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR). Intermediaries u/s 12 of the SEBI Act, 1992 must upload KYC records to KRAs as per SEBI KRA Regulations, 2011. Additionally, intermediaries must upload KYC information to CKYCRR as per SEBI master circular SEBI/HO/MIRSD/SECFATF/P/CIR/2023/169. Modifications include KRAs uploading verified KYC info to CKYCRR within 7 days, starting from August 01, 2024. Existing KYC records must be uploaded within 6 months from the same date. The circular is issued u/s 11(1) of the SEBI Act, 1992 and Regulation 17 of the SEBI{KYC Registration Agency} Regulations, 2011 to protect investor interests and regulate securities markets.
