Amendments in the notification No. 49/2008 - MRP based duty of Excise - Prescribes rate of abatement Notification No. 18/2009 - Central Excise (N.T.) New Delhi , the 7th July, 2009 G.S.R. 483(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 4A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) , the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby makes the following amendments in the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) notification No.49/2008-Central Excise (N.T.), dated the 24th December, 2008 , published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 882(E), dated the 24th December, 2008, namely:- In the said notification, in the Table,- (i) against S.No.58, for the entry in column (4), the entry "45" shall be substituted; (ii) against S.No.59, for the entry in column (4), the entry "45" shall be substituted; (iii) against S.No.61, for the entry in column (4), the entry "35" shall be substituted; (iv) against S.No.92, for the entry in column (4), the entry "35" shall be substituted; (v) against S.No.105, for the entry in column (4), the entry "30" shall be substituted.
