1996 (2) TMI 516 - HC - VAT and Sales Tax

The High Court of Andhra Pradesh allowed the writ petition seeking to quash a notice issued by the Commercial Tax Officer demanding payment of Rs. 80,000 from a partnership firm for lost way bills. The Court found the demand to be arbitrary and without legal authority, ordering the respondents to pay costs and exemplary costs.
