2015 (1) TMI 1520 - HC - Customs

**Summary:**In the High Court of Delhi, presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajiv Shakdher, the court addressed a matter involving the petitioner, represented by Mr. Deepak Gandhi and others, and the respondents, represented by Mr. Kamal Nijhawan and his team. The petitioner was instructed to have an authorized representative appear before Mr. Harvinder Singh, Superintendent of Customs, on February 4, 2015. The petitioner committed to filing a fresh application for the provisional release of goods by February 2, 2015, despite having already filed one. The Deputy Commissioner of Customs is noted as the authorized officer to handle such applications, with a decision to be made within ten days of the petitioner's appearance. Mr. Gandhi indicated that the writ petition would be resolved once an order for provisional release is issued. Consequently, the writ petition was disposed of, with a compliance listing set for February 24, 2015.
