The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Mumbai heard appeals regarding the availment of Modvat credit on documents issued before 31-3-1994 but credit taken after 2-8-1994. The issue is debatable, so all 3 appeals were admitted. Stay against recovery and waiver of pre-deposit granted for duty demanded and penalty amounts.
