1998 (6) TMI 223 - AT - Central Excise

The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Mumbai ordered the applicant, a 100% Export Oriented Unit, to pay duty for the period of 16-6-1994 to 16-11-1994 due to wrongly calculating Excise duty. The applicant was directed to deposit Rs. 80 lakhs within 3 months to waive off the remaining duty and penalty. Compliance was set for 25th August, 1998.
