ITC(HS), 2022 Schedule 2 Export Policy Section I, LIVE ANIMALS; ANIMAL PRODUCTS Chapter 01 Live Animals. Main Notes Sl.No. Notes Notification Date Notification No 1 This Chapter covers all live animals except : (a) fish and crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates, of heading 0301, 0306, 0307 or 0308; (b) cultures of micro-organisms and other products of heading 3002; and (c) animals of heading 9508. Policy Condition Sl.No. Notes Notification Date Notification No 1 Exports of All wild animals, animal articles including their products and derivatives excluding those for which ownership certificates have been granted and also those required for transactions for education, scientific research and management under Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 including their parts and products are Prohibited and not permitted to be exported. 2 All Horses are free except Kathiawari, Marwari and Manipuri breeds which are permitted for export under a Restricted Export Authorisation. 3 Live exotic birds are not permitted to be Exported except the following species of exotic birds, policy of which is indicated against each (i) Albino budgerigars (Free, Subject to pre-shipment inspection) (ii) Budgerigars (Free, Subject to pre-shipment inspection) (iii) Bengali finches (Free, Subject to pre-shipment inspection) (iv) White finches (Free, Subject to pre-shipment inspection) (v) Zebra finches (Free, Subject to pre-shipment inspection) (vi) Jawa sparrow (Restricted, Exports permitted under Export Authorization)- A certificate from the Chief Wildlife warden of the concerned State from where exotic birds (Jawa Sparrow) have been procured to the effect that the birds to be exported are from Captive Bred Stock. Exports if allowed shall be subject to pre-shipment inspection and CITES certificate.
