ITC(HS), 2022 Schedule 2 Export Policy Section I, LIVE ANIMALS; ANIMAL PRODUCTS Chapter 05 Products Of Animal Origin, Not Elsewhere Specified Or Included. Main Notes Sl.No. Notes Notification Date Notification No 1 This Chapter does not cover: (a) edible products(other than guts, bladders and stomachs of animals, whole and pieces thereof, and animal blood, liquid or dried); (b) hides or skins (including furskins) other than goods of heading 0505 and parings and similar waste of raw hides or skins of heading 0511 (Chapter 41 or 43); (c) animal textile materials, other than horsehair and horsehair waste (Section XI); or (d) prepared knots or tufts for broom or brush making (heading 9603) 2 For the purposes of heading 0501, the sorting of hair by length (provided the root ends and tip ends respectively are not arranged together) shall be deemed not to constitute working. 3 Throughout this Schedule, elephant, hippopotamus, walrus, narwhal and wild boar tusks, rhinoceros horns and the teeth of all animals are regarded as ivory . 4 Throughout the Schedule, the expression horsehair means hair of the manes or tails of equine or bovine animals. Heading 0511 covers, inter alia, horsehair and horsehair waste, whether or not put up as a layer with or without supporting material. The term Wild Animal and Animal Article would have the same meaning as defined in the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972. 2 Export of Pig Bristles and Hair is allowed freely except to European Union. Export to European Union is allowed subject to the following conditions: (i) A Shipment Clearance Certificate is to be issued consignment-wise by the CAPEXIL indicating details of the name and address of the exporter, address of the registered plant, IEC of the exporter, plant approval number, nature of export product, quantity, invoice number and date, port of loading (Name of the port) and destination. (ii) After the shipment is made, the exporter shall also provide a Production Process Certificate and/or Health Certificate to the buyer consignment-wise, to be issued jointly by CAPEXIL and Regional Animal Quarantine Officer, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. 13.01.2017 34/2015-20 3 Export of Bone and Bone Products, including Ossein intended to be used for Human Consumption is allowed freely except to European Union. export to European Union is allowed subject to the following conditions (excluding bone meal, horn meal and hoof meal) : (i) A Shipment Clearance Certificate is to be issued consignment-wise by the CAPEXIL indicating details of the name and address of the exporter, address of the registered plant, IEC No. of the exporter, Plant approval number, nature of export product, quantity, invoice number and date, port of loading (name of the port) and destination (ii) After the shipment is made, the exporter shall also provide a Health Certificate consignment-wise, to the buyer giving details of the product with HS Code, packaging, its origin, destination, vessel name, date of departure, health requirements. This Certificate is issued Export Inspection Council. 13.01.2017 34/2015-20 4 Export of Bone and bone products Bone and Bone Products, horn and horn products hooves and hoof products, Bile, whether or not dried : Glands and Other products sourced only from Buffalo used in the preparation of pharmaceutical products, fresh, chilled, frozen or otherwise provisionally preserved including, Placenta, Sodium tauroglycocholate, Bezoar, Goolochan, Gallstone, etc. is allowed freely except to European Union.
