THE FINANCE ACT, 2009 (No. 26 of 2009) [ 20th March 2009 ] An Act to continue the existing rates of income-tax for the financial year 2009-10. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:— Short title and commencement. 1. ( 1 ) This Act may be called the Finance Act, 2009. ( 2 ) Section 2 shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2009.
