CUSTOMS, EXCISE AND [SERVISE TAX] APPELLATE TRIBUNAL MEMBERS (RECURITMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) RULES, 1987 Notification G.S.R. No. 168, dated 26-2-1987 as amended In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed as members of the Customs, Excise and [service tax] Appellate Tribunal, namely:- RULE 1. Short title and commencement . - (1) These rules may be called the customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal Members (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1987. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
