Article 29 - Entry into Force - Hong Kong

ARTICLE 29 ENTRY INTO FORCE 1. Each of the Contracting Parties shall notify the other in writing of the completion of the procedures required by its law for the entry into force of this Agreement. 2. The Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the later of the notifications referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article. 3. The provisions of the Agreement shall thereupon have effect: (a) in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region: in respect of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region tax, for any year of assessment beginning on or after the first day of April following the date on which the Agreement enters into force; (b) in India: in respect of income derived in any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of April following the date on which the Agreement enters into force.
