Section 1 - Short title and commencement - Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019

THE COMPANIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2019 NO. 22 OF 2019 [31st July, 2019] An Act further to amend the Companies Act, 2013. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title and commencement. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2019. (2) The provisions of this Act, except sections 6, 7 and 8, clauses (i), (iii) and clause (iv) of section 14, sections 20 and 21, section 31, sections 33, 34 and 35, sections 37 and 38 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 2nd day of November, 2018. (3) The provisions of sections 6, 7 and 8, clauses (i), (iii) and clause (iv) of section 14, sections 20 and 21, section 31, sections 33, 34 and 35, sections 37 and 38 shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for these provisions and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision.
