Appointment of the Manager to the offer 9 . (1) Prior to making an initial public announcement, the acquirer shall appoint a merchant banker registered with the Board as the Manager to the offer. (2) The Manager to the offer appointed under sub-regulation (1) shall not be an associate of the acquirer. (3) The initial public announcement and the subsequent activities as required under these regulations shall be undertaken by the acquirer through the Manager to the offer.
