2. Definitions . (1) In these rules, unless context otherwise requires,- (a) Act means the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003) ; (b) Commission means the Competition Commission of India established under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Act ; (c) Secretary means the Secretary appointed under sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Act and includes an officer of the Commission authorised by the Chairperson to function as Secretary. (2) All other words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the same meanings assigned to them in the Act.
