Article 8 - Air transport - Finland (Old - Effective upto 31-3-2011)

ARTICLE 8 - Air transport - 1. Income derived by an enterprise of a Contracting State from the operation of aircraft in international traffic shall be taxable only in that State. 2. Paragraph (1) shall likewise apply in respect of participations in pools of any kind by enterprises engaged in air transport. 3. For the purposes of this article (a) interest on funds connected with the operation of aircraft in international traffic shall be regarded as income from the operation of such aircraft ; and (b)the term operation of aircraft shall include transportation by air of persons, livestock, goods or mail, carried on by the owners or lessee or charterers of aircraft, including the sale of tickets for such transportation on behalf of other enterprises, the incidental lease of aircraft on a charter basis and any other activity directly connected with such transportation.
