24. Amendment of section 80G. In section 80G of the Income-tax Act,- (a) in sub-section (1), in clause (i), after the words, brackets, figures and letter or in sub-clause (iii) , the words, brackets, figures and letter or in sub-clause (iiig) shall be inserted; (b) in sub-section (2), in clause (a), after sub-clause (iiif), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely:- (iiig) the Maharashtra Chief Minister s Relief Fund during the period beginning on the 1st day of October, 1993 and ending on the 6th day of October, 1993 or to the Chief Minister s Earthquake Relief Fund, Maharashtra; or ; (c) sub-section (3) shall be omitted; (d) in sub-section (5).- (i) the word and , occurring at the end of clause (iv), shall be omitted; (ii) in clause (v), the word and shall be inserted at the end.
