MINISTRY OF LAW AND JUSTICE (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 29th December, 2005/Pausa 8, 1927 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 28th December, 2005 and is hereby published for general information:- THE TAXATION LAWS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2005 No. 55 OF 2005 [28th December, 2005.] An Act further to amend the Income-tax Act, 1961 and the Finance Act, 2005. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2005. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 31st day of October, 2005.
