Chapter VI - Final provisions Article 29 - Entry into force - 1. The Governments of the Contracting States shall notify each other that the legal requirements for the entry into force of this Agreement have been complied with. 2. The Agreement shall enter into force thirty days after the date of the later of the noti-fications referred to in paragraph (1) and its provisions shall have effect : (a) in India : as regards income for any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of April of the calendar year next following that in which this Agreement enters into force ; (b) in Malta : as regards income for any fiscal year beginning on or after the first day of January of the calendar year next following that in which this Agreement enters into force.
