CHAPTER VI FINAL PROVISIONS Article 30 : Entry into force 1. The present Agreement shall be ratified by the ContractingState according to their own international legislation. 2. The instruments of ratification shall be exchanged at Dar-es-Salam as soon as possible. 3. Upon exchange of the instruments of ratification, the present Agreement shall have effect- (a) in India, in respect of income arising in any year of account commencing on or after the 1st day of January following the calendar year in which the instruments are exchanged; (b) in Tanzania, in respect of income arising for any year of income commencing on or after the 1st day of January following the calendar year in which the instruments of ratification are exchanged.
