Article 31 - Termination - Tanzania (Old - Effective upto 31-3-2012)

Article 31 : Termination This Agreement shall continue in effect indefinitely but either of the Contracting States may on or before the 30th of June in the sixth or any subsequent calendar year following the calendar year in which the exchange of instruments of ratification take place give to the other Contracting State notice of termination and in such event this Agreement shall cease to have effect- (a) in India in respect of income assessable for any year of assessment commencing on or after the first day of April in the second calendar year next following the calendar year in which the notice of termination is given; (b) in Tanzania, in respect of income arising for any year of income commencing on or after the first day of January in the calendar year next following the calendar year in which the notice of termination is given. IN WITNESS WHEREOF the undersigned, being duly authorised thereto, have signed the present Agreement.
