The Supreme Court of India did not entertain the special leave petition at this stage. Parties were allowed to raise issues regarding the maintainability of the writ petition. The petitioner can approach the Court again if needed. The High Court had set a deadline for the writ petition to be disposed of by 15.02.2017. The special leave petition was disposed of accordingly.
